Located on a beautiful llama ranch in the mountains above Wine
Country, Balokai is a very special destination designed for today's
families. In addition to experiencing our llamas in action, kids
and parents get to enjoy secluded swimming holes, outdoor hot tubs,
and a magnificent wilderness setting. Our name comes from the original
Pomo word for the surrounding area and means "beautiful valley."
These
lands provide an extraordinary range of outdoor recreational opportunities
where we lead hiking, kayaking, wildlife and other guided excursions.
Camp Balokai is celebrating its grand opening this summer by offering
special family packages at 50% off our regular price! These packages
are comprehensive and include the costs for all activities and
meals.
In recognition of our magnificent setting, we have designed sustainability
into everything we do -- from our biodiesel vehicles to our emphasis
on local and organic food. We have also made a strong commitment
to individual attention, luxurious comfort and fun.
As parents ourselves, we understand the importance of balancing
the needs and interests of everyone in your family. At Balokai,
we create this balance by providing activities tailored to each
individual family member, as well as the entire family: Kids can
explore the outdoors with other kids under adult supervision. Parents
can join in, relax on their own, or participate in our adult-oriented
programs.
Everyone can participate in our family-oriented activities,
including daytime llama hikes and nighttime fires in our lovely
cob fire pit. Families can simply choose to hang out and explore
